esure, a prominent UK-based provider of motor and home insurance, has teamed up with London InsurTech firm Caura to release a new mobile insurance app, available on iOS and Android platforms.
The development of the app aligns with esure’s commitment to enhancing digital capabilities and delivering better customer experiences, according to InsurTech Insights.
The insurer’s objective is to simplify how policyholders engage with their insurance and vehicle management needs, reflecting the growing demand for integrated digital services in the insurance space.
The newly launched mobile app allows customers to manage their esure motor and home policies while offering a variety of vehicle-related services.
These include checking vehicle renewal dates, booking MOTs, paying road tax, verifying ULEZ or congestion charge exemptions, settling toll fees, and even booking airport parking in advance. Future app enhancements will expand functionality to include electric vehicle charging options and fuel price comparisons.
The app is currently being rolled out to the entire esure customer base. Upcoming features are already in development, aiming to strengthen the company’s position as a digital-first insurer.
The initiative arrives shortly after news broke of Ageas’s $1.7bn acquisition of esure from Bain Capital, marking a period of rapid transformation for the firm.
esure chief commercial officer Peter Martin-Simon said, “The launch of our all-in-one insurance app is a major milestone in esure’s digital transformation journey. It is a powerful example of how our platform is unlocking new possibilities to better serve our customers. We’re proud to have collaborated with Caura to bring this market-leading functionality to life at rapid speed.”
Caura CEO and founder Sai Lakshmi said, “It was a pleasure to partner with the team at esure to deploy their apps for iOS and Android. Consumer uptake of services has surpassed all our expectations and we’re excited to further support them on their mobile journey throughout 2025 and beyond.”
