mea Platform, a provider of intelligent insurance processing solutions, and ACORD Solutions Group (ASG) have formed a strategic partnership aimed at accelerating digital transformation across the insurance industry.

The collaboration seeks to increase the adoption of automated underwriting and standardised digital data exchange, helping streamline operations for global insurers, brokers, and managing general agents, according to InsurTech Insights.

The alliance is seen as a vital step in supporting fully digital insurance workflows by embedding real-time, structured data into existing systems.

Under the agreement, mea Platform’s technology will be integrated with ADEPT (ACORD Data Exchange Platform and Translator), ASG’s global data exchange platform. ADEPT enables seamless, real-time data exchange across multiple stakeholders using ACORD’s Global Reinsurance & Large Commercial (GRLC) Standards. This integration will allow (re)insurers using mea Platform to receive higher-quality structured data via API from digital placing transactions, significantly improving the flow and completeness of information across the policy lifecycle.

mea Platform specialises in automating processes across underwriting, policy administration, claims, and placing. Its technology enables insurers to reduce manual effort and instead focus on strategic, high-value tasks. The company is driving the shift toward fully digital insurance operations by rethinking how workflows are designed and executed.

ACORD Solutions Group, as the tech-focused arm of ACORD, provides tools and platforms designed to enable standardised, real-time data exchange across the insurance ecosystem. With its flagship ADEPT platform, ASG supports placing, accounting, and claims processing using globally accepted data standards.

This integration is part of a wider push toward straight-through processing and standardised data connectivity in the insurance sector. As digital transformation becomes a priority for global (re)insurers, partnerships like this are seen as essential in advancing the industry’s capabilities in automation, efficiency, and data accuracy.

Chris Newman, president international at ACORD Solutions Group, said, “This partnership reflects ASG’s mission to drive global insurance innovation through collaboration using solutions accelerating standardized global data exchange. mea Platform has built a respected team delivering high-impact insurance processing solutions. By integrating ADEPT, mea’s growing user base can seamlessly connect to ACORD Standards worldwide for placing, accounting, and claims, amplifying value and unlocking new opportunities.”

Martin Henley, CEO of mea Platform, said, “mea isn’t just automating insurance processes—we’re fundamentally reimagining how (re)insurers operate in a digital-first world. As the insurance industry becomes increasingly digitized, data standards and data exchange and ingestion solutions will become ever more critical to connect market participants and automate workflows. This integration with ADEPT marks a pivotal step in insurance industry modernization, enabling (re)insurers to process business with unprecedented efficiency and data completeness, regardless of how it arrives.”
