NFP acquires Bspoke to expand specialist insurance services

NFP

NFP, an Aon company and international insurance brokerage and consulting firm, has announced the acquisition of Bspoke Insurance Group, a leading platform of multi-class niche and specialist managing general agents (MGAs), a managing general underwriter, and specialist insurance distributors.

Based in Leeds, Bspoke operates offices in Shropshire, Gloucestershire, Essex, Liverpool and London. Under the deal, NFP and Bspoke will continue to operate independently, with Bspoke’s management team reporting to NFP Europe president Matt Pawley. All Bspoke brands will remain unchanged.

NFP Europe president Matt Pawley said, “I’m excited to welcome the talented team at Bspoke to NFP. With their industry experience, diverse range of specialist solutions and customer-centric approach, they’ve driven exceptional growth and client-retention. The Bspoke team will strengthen our existing suite of insurance solutions while expanding our technical underwriting expertise and specialist product knowledge.”

Bspoke was established in 2022 through the merger of Precision Partnership Limited and UK General Insurance Group. Since its formation, the group has delivered wide-ranging coverage across multiple sectors including property, lifestyle, high-net-worth and transportation. It also offers flexible distribution options for brokers, affinity groups and schemes.

Each Bspoke business is focused on specific product specialisms and led by experienced, technically skilled underwriting teams. This expertise has contributed to its recognition in the market, including winning ‘MGA of the Year’ at the 2025 National Insurance Awards.

Bspoke founder Tim Smyth said, “NFP offers Bspoke a fantastic opportunity to build on the platform we have developed over the past two years. With NFP’s support, we can drive strong organic growth, attract top talent and pursue further acquisition opportunities to sustain Bspoke as a leading niche and specialist player with a relentless focus on meeting dynamic client needs.”

The acquisition reflects NFP’s continued strategy to enhance its specialist capabilities in the UK insurance market, broadening its technical expertise and product reach while preserving the operational independence of newly acquired businesses.
