OneShield, a provider of core insurance technology solutions for property and casualty insurers and managing general agents (MGAs), has appointed Doug Moore as its new chief innovation officer.
In this newly created role, Moore will spearhead the company’s drive to embed artificial intelligence across its product portfolio and operations, supporting its goal of becoming an AI-first organisation.
The company, which specialises in providing enterprise-scale solutions for insurers and MGAs, helps clients streamline processes, improve efficiency, and deliver better customer experiences.
Its technology platform is designed to simplify policy management, billing, claims and other operational areas.
Moore brings more than three decades of experience across insurance, enterprise software, and cloud platforms.
He has held leadership roles at companies such as Guidewire, ISCS and Command Alkon. Most recently, he founded Approck Cloud, an R&D consultancy focused on generative AI and serverless applications.
Over his career, Moore has built a reputation for delivering practical and scalable innovation, helping businesses apply emerging technologies to solve complex challenges. Known for his hands-on approach, he has consistently worked on bridging the gap between cutting-edge innovation and real-world application.
His appointment underscores OneShield’s strategic commitment to advancing responsible innovation and the practical use of AI. Over the next 12 months, Moore will build a culture of experimentation and learning across the company, while also creating training programmes to make AI more accessible and useful to insurers.
Moore will also oversee the rollout of internal initiatives aimed at encouraging cross-functional collaboration, streamlining access to AI capabilities, and ensuring compliance with governance and security standards. These initiatives are designed to help both OneShield teams and its clients accelerate the journey from concept to execution.
