Swiss InsurTech Credura, a FINMA-licensed digital insurance advisory firm, has launched what it describes as the first AI-based insurance adviser designed specifically for private individuals, following the completion of a successful pilot phase.

The newly launched platform automates the ongoing management of insurance policies and provides independent advice across insurers and products, according to FinTech News Switzerland.

By consolidating existing policies and continuously analysing them, Credura aims to address the complexity many households face when managing multiple insurance contracts from different providers.

Unlike traditional insurance advice, which is usually offered only at specific points in time, Credura’s digital adviser operates on a continuous and proactive basis. The AI monitors market developments, identifies optimisation opportunities and enables users to implement changes in just a few steps, reducing the administrative burden typically associated with insurance management.

According to the company, Swiss households often hold several insurance policies that require regular review to ensure coverage levels, pricing and terms remain appropriate. This process can be both time-consuming and difficult to navigate without specialist knowledge, particularly when policies are spread across multiple insurers.

Credura co-founder Roman Loosli highlighted the efficiency gains enabled by automation. Credura co-founder Roman Loosli said, “A human adviser can only reach this level of depth with significant time and cost,” and, “Our technology delivers the same level of analysis in seconds, making continuous support economically viable for the first time.”

The platform consolidates policies regardless of provider and monitors them on an ongoing basis. Interfaces with 17 major insurers enable data exchange, while market comparisons extend across all available providers. During the pilot phase, several hundred households tested the service.

At the centre of the offering is an interactive digital dashboard, which allows users to ask insurance-related questions directly. The AI system accesses original policy documents to respond to individual queries, including coverage details or specific scenarios. Users can also submit claims and service requests digitally at any time, with the platform managing communication with insurers and keeping customers informed of progress.

The system automatically responds to changes in market conditions or a customer’s personal circumstances. Credura offers two remuneration models: an annual flat-fee of CHF 250, under which all commissions are returned in full to the customer, and a free commission-based model, both guided by the same neutral AI logic.
