Tenet brings four capabilities into INTX’s operating system: Treaty Intelligence, Policy Intelligence, Underwriting Intelligence and Knowledge Intelligence. Together, they are designed to apply AI to different areas of (re)insurance operations, from analysing documentation to checking underwriting submissions and connecting information held across the business.
For reinsurance teams, Treaty Intelligence converts reinsurance treaties into structured operational data across ceded and assumed business. Policy Intelligence analyses policy documents to identify coverages, endorsements, exclusions, limits, deductibles and amendments. Underwriting Intelligence checks submissions against underwriting guidelines, authority levels and appetite, while Knowledge Intelligence connects information across policies, treaties, claims, accounting and underwriting.
The capabilities are built into INTX’s existing product suite. ReinsureConnect supports ceded reinsurance activities including treaty and facultative accounting, recoverables, bordereaux and Schedule F reporting. INTX Re covers assumed reinsurance administration, premium and loss accounting, bordereaux and capacity management. INTX Core supports commercial property and casualty operations including underwriting, quoting, policy administration, billing, claims and servicing.
INTX said the architecture behind these products is central to how Tenet operates. Because the systems share an operational and financial data foundation, the company said Tenet can work with relationships between policies, treaties, underwriting guidelines, claims and financial transactions instead of treating each item separately.
The company also contrasted its approach with insurance platforms that have added generative AI to fragmented or acquired systems. INTX said its own architecture was established before the recent acceleration in generative AI and already brought underwriting, policy administration, reinsurance, claims, accounting and financial operations together.
Tenet is also intended to expand beyond its initial capabilities. INTX said future development will include claims operations, financial analytics, portfolio intelligence, capital management, regulatory reporting and wider enterprise decision support.
INTX CEO Rob Lewis said, “The insurance industry doesn’t need another AI assistant. AI is only as powerful as the information it understands. Most platforms are layering AI onto fragmented systems. We built a unified operating system first. Tenet is the natural evolution of that architecture, delivering intelligence with the full context of the business—not just individual tasks or documents.”
INTX chief operating officer and co-founder Devon Ellett also commented, “Insurance has always been a knowledge business. Every underwriting decision, treaty interpretation, claims determination and financial outcome depends on understanding complex information. Tenet delivers that knowledge in context, helping organisations make faster, more consistent decisions every day.”
