Sapiens launches AI-native SapiensAIP platform

Sapiens International, a global provider of AI-centric, SaaS-based insurance software serving more than 600 insurers across over 30 countries, has introduced its new Sapiens Autonomous Insurance Platform (SapiensAIP), designed to help insurers embed artificial intelligence directly within their core policy administration systems.

SapiensAIP brings together a range of agentic tools spanning underwriting, policy, billing, claims and customer engagement, extending Sapiens’ existing core insurance products into a single, unified platform.

It is structured across three layers: a persona-based experience layer for users, an intelligence layer where agentic processes carry out tasks, and a foundation layer drawing on more than four decades of Sapiens’ insurance industry expertise.

This underlying foundation equips each AI agent with the context needed to operate with an insurer’s mindset, and also underpins the platform’s dedicated hubs for data migration and configuration.

Within SapiensAIP, the Migration Hub is built to accelerate lengthy core transformations, mergers and acquisitions by using agent swarms to manage four stages of the process: profiling, mapping, validating and extracting data.

Legacy files can be ingested in their original format without the need for reformatting, and the hub’s AI proposes how existing data should map onto the new system, attaching a confidence score for subject matter experts to review.

Alongside this, the Configuration Hub removes configuration as a common source of project delays by using AI to read documents in any format and automatically match them to the correct fields within a given system, with confidence scoring and a full audit trail supporting human review and approval.

Sapiens is a global leader of AI-centric, SaaS-based insurance software, delivering hyper-relevant experiences that are efficient, compliant, and innovative. With agile intelligence, Sapiens’ solutions turn real-time data and human insight into precise action at every moment, across every risk.

The Sapiens platform includes agentic workflows accelerating every capability across policy, underwriting, claims, reinsurance, decisioning, finance and compliance.

Sapiens executive chairman and interim CEO Mike Ettling said, “The AI future we have been talking about is here. The architecture behind SapiensAIP is the clearest expression yet of what Sapiens has become: the global insurance technology champion built to power the modern autonomous insurer of tomorrow, with a continuously improving layer of intelligence. This is an advantage no legacy architecture retrofitted with AI can match.”

Continental General chief transformation officer Ayanna Burns said, “SapiensAIP represents the kind of platform direction we want from our technology partners – AI that’s embedded in the core system, not bolted on. As a third-party administrator serving multiple carrier clients, Continental General needs tooling that can scale across programs and compress the timeline from contract to production. We’re putting the Configuration Hub and Migration Hub to work against real workflows, and the early direction is promising.”
