Sureify, a technology company serving life and annuity carriers, has introduced aiCONNECT to bring AI capabilities into the data, technology and operational environments insurers already use.
aiCONNECT extends the company’s CoreCONNECT platform, giving carriers the ability to apply AI to more than information searches. Subject to permissions defined by each organisation, the technology can respond to questions, assist with processes, trigger transactions and act on business events.
The technology can also support underwriting activities. An AI agent could access an applicant’s existing coverage through administration systems connected to CoreCONNECT, examine an incoming document and pull out relevant information to help determine what should happen next. Carriers can also have AI prepare transactions for review, with a person retaining approval before completion.
Control over AI access remains with the carrier. Organisations can specify the data and systems AI can use and identify situations where human approval is required. This gives carriers the option to begin with narrower applications and increase AI involvement across their operations over time.
Sureify is developing additional AI skills and agents for life and annuity processes, including capabilities aimed at producers who work with customers. Carriers can modify these tools according to their own operational rules and requirements.
At the centre of the offering is CoreCONNECT, which connects existing carrier systems with digital workflows. The platform brings together data and capabilities from those systems without requiring insurers to replace their existing technology. These capabilities can then be made available through carrier applications, Sureify’s tools for producers and policyholders, or distribution partners.
Sureify provides technology for life and annuity carriers, producers and policyholders, connecting insurance data and existing systems with digital experiences and operational processes.
The company was scheduled to demonstrate aiCONNECT at the 2026 Sureify Life & Annuity Summit at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, ahead of ITC Vegas.
Sureify CTO Ben Brantley said, “By embedding AI to this layer, carriers can unlock greater value across the large volumes of information already sitting in their systems.”
He added, “Tasks that once required days of manual work, such as reporting on pending applications or identifying and taking action on in-force policy activity, can be completed in minutes. Producers can access the information they need through AI tools such as Claude, their preferred AI models, or directly within the CoreCONNECT interface.”
Sureify CEO Dustin Yoder said, “The opportunity with AI in life and annuity is enormous, but the value won’t come from AI operating in isolation,” and continued, “It comes from embedding AI into the systems, data and processes that run the business, and doing that in a way carriers can control. That’s why governance isn’t an afterthought at Sureify. It’s built into the foundation, so carriers can adopt AI incrementally, put it to work in real business processes, and expand its role as they gain confidence and trust.”
