VOOM Insurance, an InsurTech pioneer known for crafting usage-based insurance products tailored for the future of mobility, has appointed Thomas Coyne as its new head of insurance.
Coyne brings over 30 years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry to his new role, enhancing VOOM’s leadership team with expertise in product management, pricing, underwriting, and general management.
He joins VOOM following an illustrious career that includes executive roles at prominent insurance companies.
At Mercury Insurance, Coyne managed a $3.4bn personal lines portfolio as head of product management. Additionally, he developed specialised non-standard auto programmes for MGAs, further showcasing his ability to innovate in complex insurance markets.
In his new role, he will lead VOOM’s insurance operations, leveraging his deep understanding of product development and underwriting to drive growth and enhance profitability.
