InsurTech startup Honeycomb Insurance has officially opened its new headquarters in Chicago, underscoring the company’s ongoing expansion and its commitment to growing operations in one of the nation’s leading insurance markets.

The move comes as Honeycomb continues to scale rapidly, bolstered by backing from Zeev Ventures, a key early investor in companies such as Navan and Next Insurance, accprdong to FF News.

Founded with a focus on landlords, condominium associations, and multifamily property owners, Honeycomb offers a platform that enables real-time, precise underwriting of risk while working in tandem with—rather than displacing—insurance brokers.

Operating in 18 states, the company reports it has insured over $55 billion in real estate assets and has more than doubled its annual revenue in the past year.

The newly launched headquarters, located in the Chicago Board of Trade building, includes 10 private offices as well as 10 conference, huddle, and call rooms.

The facility is designed to accommodate a significant increase in staff, with Honeycomb planning to hire approximately 50 new employees across its operations in the next year.

“Honeycomb is proud to call the Chicago Board of Trade our new home base,” said Itai Ben-Zaken, CEO and co-founder of Honeycomb. “The city’s incredible talent pool makes it the perfect place to build the future of real estate insurance.”

The establishment of a central hub in Chicago is part of Honeycomb’s broader effort to reinforce its presence in key markets across the United States, as the company continues to expand its national footprint and invest in innovation across the InsurTech sector.
