NFP, an Aon company and global leader in P&C insurance and risk consultancy, has expanded its digital transformation strategy by partnering with Qumis, a legal-grade AI platform built specifically for the insurance sector.
Qumis was initially piloted by NFP in mid-2024 and formally adopted earlier this year following successful early results. Its platform, developed by insurance attorneys and AI experts, is now integrated across the company’s P&C and claims teams. As a result, brokers and claims professionals have seen a marked reduction in manual policy review time while simultaneously boosting both the volume and quality of their assessments, it said.
NFP head of innovation Mark J. Rieder said, “NFP differentiates itself through our commitment to technology, data, and innovation. Our strategy is built around harnessing data and technology to deliver better client outcomes. Qumis helps our teams move faster, work smarter, and deliver legal-grade analysis with confidence. It’s exactly the kind of technology we want in our tech stack.”
The increasing complexity of policy work, outdated manual processes, and pressure on insurance professionals to deliver fast, accurate outcomes are pushing brokers to seek AI-enabled infrastructure. Qumis’ platform eliminates time-intensive manual comparisons and enables teams to reallocate resources toward strategic client engagement.
Qumis co-founder and CEO Dan Schuleman said, “We’re proud to support NFP’s innovation strategy and provide the AI infrastructure that brokers need to navigate the growing complexity of policy work at scale. Qumis is modernizing how teams work, while powering intelligence-driven decisions that help insurance professionals work faster, operate more efficiently, and maintain legal-grade precision.”
Founded in 2023, Qumis was created to solve one of the insurance industry’s most critical challenges: understanding and comparing complex policies at scale. Earlier this year, Qumis secured $2.2m in pre-seed funding and launched a significant platform update to expand its capabilities.
