The company said the new solution was created to tackle the persistent inefficiencies in insurance underwriting, where manual research often slows down quoting and decision-making processes, according to FF News.
Sixfold builds AI-driven agents designed to support insurers in their underwriting workflows, focusing on streamlining processes, boosting efficiency, and improving the quality of decisions.
The Research Agent acts as an intelligent research partner, sourcing, synthesising, and documenting relevant risk intelligence from the web and trusted third-party providers. By integrating directly into the underwriter’s workflow, it enables faster access to critical information while ensuring consistency and accuracy.
The solution accelerates speed to quote by cutting research times from days to hours, helping insurers stay competitive in the market. It also improves risk assessment by giving underwriters a more comprehensive view of exposures, while ensuring consistency across teams with audit-ready documentation.
Initial feedback from early users shows that Research Agent not only surfaces actionable insights, but also maintains the simplicity and workflow integration needed by underwriters. Sixfold claims the product saves underwriters at least two hours per submission, freeing up time for higher-value tasks such as risk judgment, broker engagement, and portfolio optimisation.
