Sedgwick appoints Vishy Padmanabhan as chief transformation officer

The creation of the role marks a significant milestone in Sedgwick’s evolution, as it reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to innovation and its ambition to deliver greater value to clients worldwide through advanced digital capabilities and operational agility, according to InsurTech Insights.

Padmanabhan brings more than two decades of transformation experience to Sedgwick. He has held senior leadership positions at Wells Fargo and Bain & Company, where he specialised in guiding organisations through large-scale digital initiatives, aligning IT with business objectives, and modernising legacy systems. His expertise spans banking, InsurTech, and manufacturing sectors.

At Sedgwick, Padmanabhan will lead an integrated transformation agenda focused on digital, data, and enterprise processes.

His remit will include advancing the firm’s use of AI, predictive analytics, and digital platforms to create smarter and more efficient client solutions.

He will report directly to the company’s CEO, Michael Arbour. Speaking on the news, Arbour said, “This is a defining moment for Sedgwick. It marks a bold step, and clear investment, in how we harness technology to shape the future of our company. As Chief Transformation Officer, Vishy will champion innovation and agility at scale, partnering across technology and operations to drive an integrated transformation agenda spanning digital, data and enterprise processes.”

Padmanabhan holds an MBA from Emory University and a Bachelor of Engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University.

Sedgwick’s investors include The Carlyle Group as majority shareholder, alongside minority shareholders Stone Point Capital, Altas Partners, CDPQ, Onex, and other management stakeholders.
