Socotra, a leading InsurTech company transforming insurance core technology with modern cloud-based solutions, has launched a new product, Agentic Configuration.

This cutting-edge capability enables insurers to build and manage product configurations directly within Socotra’s platform using AI and natural language, according to FF News.

The release addresses a major challenge facing insurers—reducing product development time and costs while coping with the industry-wide shortage of technical talent.

The new feature allows insurers to accelerate time-to-market, improve efficiency, and empower non-technical users to develop and test insurance products with ease.

Founded to modernise the insurance industry’s technology infrastructure, Socotra provides a cloud-native core platform designed to help insurers launch, manage, and scale products efficiently.

Its Insurance Suite delivers flexibility, scalability, and open integration capabilities through advanced data models, product inheritance, open APIs, and fully published documentation.

Agentic Configuration leverages the latest in AI innovation to simplify insurance product development.

Using conversational AI, the tool allows business teams to analyse requirements, configure insurance products using Socotra’s best practices, and validate and deploy configurations in testing environments—all without needing deep technical expertise.

The product extends Socotra’s recent launch of MCP Server, which enables instant integrations between the Socotra Insurance Suite and agentic AI tools such as Claude and Cursor. Together, these innovations form a cohesive ecosystem that makes AI an integral part of insurance product design and deployment.

With Agentic Configuration, insurers can cut configuration and testing timelines by 50%, reduce development costs by 75%, and decrease prototype iteration time by up to 90%. This represents a significant step forward for insurers aiming to compete in an increasingly digital and fast-moving market.

“Insurance companies are under immense pressure to innovate quickly while facing a shortage of technical talent,” said Socotra chief operating officer Ekine Akuiyibo. “With Agentic Configuration, insurers can move from product concept to testable configuration in weeks instead of months. This capability democratizes product development, promotes AI literacy, and unlocks the creativity of business teams without sacrificing accuracy or governance.”
