Zurich Insurance Group, a global insurer providing commercial and corporate insurance solutions, has launched a new AI-powered tool designed to improve clarity and consistency across multinational insurance programs.
The launch of Zurich Program IQ comes in response to the growing complexity multinational businesses face when managing insurance coverage across multiple regions, jurisdictions, languages, and currencies.
Zurich Program IQ is designed to analyse large volumes of policy documentation efficiently and accurately. Developed in-house and used by Zurich’s underwriting experts, the tool reviews sublimits within multinational policies and identifies discrepancies between local policies and the master policy. By highlighting these inconsistencies early, the solution enables swift corrective action, helping to reduce operational inefficiencies and minimise exposure to unexpected risks.
Currently, Zurich Program IQ focuses on analysing property natural catastrophe coverage within multinational insurance programs. The tool can process policies written in multiple languages. The insurer has confirmed that the functionality will be expanded to cover additional areas of insurance in the future.
Zurich’s multinational business delivers tailored insurance programs through one of the largest global networks in the market, spanning more than 200 countries and territories. The group currently serves over 7,500 customers worldwide and manages approximately 8,500 multinational insurance programs.
Zurich Insurance Group CEO Commercial Insurance Sierra Signorelli said, “Multinational insurance programs can be extremely complex, and our customers trust we deliver clarity and consistency across all their markets. Zurich Program IQ is a major step forward allowing us to review thousands of pages of policy wording across the globe to give customers even greater confidence in the coherence of their global insurance programs”
