Zinnia, a life insurance and annuity (L&A) technology provider, and Snowflake, the AI Data Cloud company, have announced a new integration designed to transform how insurers access, analyse and activate data.
The partnership brings together Zinnia’s deep domain expertise in insurance technology with Snowflake’s scalable data and artificial intelligence platform to help insurers modernise operations and improve decision-making.
By integrating Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud, Zinnia aims to help insurers unlock real-time insights, improve operational efficiency, and accelerate digital transformation initiatives through advanced analytics and machine learning capabilities.
Through the integration, Zinnia has implemented Snowflake’s data platform to deliver a range of new capabilities for insurers.
These include advanced machine learning and AI tools for predictive analytics and risk modelling, real-time access to performance data, and self-hosted Streamlit applications for rapid analytics development. The platform also supports scalable data architecture and GenAI functionality designed to improve both operational efficiency and customer experience.
The partnership also enables insurers to benefit from faster deployment timelines. By leveraging Snowflake’s cloud-native infrastructure, Zinnia can offer day-one access to analytics and AI capabilities that would traditionally take months or even years to implement, helping firms remain competitive in an increasingly data-driven market.
Security Benefit, one of Zinnia’s clients, is already using the enhanced data and AI capabilities delivered through the collaboration. The insurer is leveraging Snowflake’s data sharing framework to securely exchange and analyse large volumes of information in real time.
“Insurance companies are sitting on vast amounts of data, but many struggle to unlock its full potential,” said Dan Gremmell, Chief Data Officer at Zinnia. “Our work with Snowflake changes that equation entirely. We’re delivering day-one implementation of advanced analytics and AI capabilities that would typically take months or years to deploy, ensuring our clients don’t just receive data – they transform it into their competitive advantage.”
“Snowflake’s data sharing paradigm allows Security Benefit and Zinnia to securely exchange vast amounts of information on demand,” said Sean O’Donoghue, Chief Technology Officer at Security Benefit. “This empowers us to analyse data, generate insights, and make faster, more informed decisions.”
The partnership positions Zinnia as a key implementation partner for insurers seeking to adopt Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud. By combining insurance-specific expertise with modern data architecture, the collaboration aims to bridge the gap between traditional insurance operations and next-generation analytics and AI-driven decision-making.
