Simplifai, a provider of agentic AI solutions for property and casualty insurance claims, and Acorn Group, a UK insurance provider specialising in motor and property cover, have expanded their partnership following a successful initial deployment earlier this year.
The expansion follows strong results from an initial implementation of Simplifai’s AI Agents in early 2025. Acorn Group decided to deepen the relationship after seeing measurable improvements across claims operations, with the goal of embedding intelligent automation more broadly across the business and supporting its 400 claim handlers with advanced AI-driven tools.
Simplifai delivers agentic AI technology designed specifically for insurance claims environments, positioning the company firmly within the InsurTech space. Its platform deploys AI Agents that can analyse documents, emails and structured data to automate decision-making, identify risks and support human handlers in complex workflows. The technology is built to enhance productivity while maintaining compliance with internal guidelines and regulatory expectations.
Acorn Group operates as an insurance provider focused on delivering efficient and customer-centric claims experiences. By adopting advanced automation, the group aims to strengthen fraud prevention, improve large loss handling and free up experienced staff to focus on higher-value, customer-facing work. The expanded partnership sees Simplifai become Acorn Group’s enterprise-wide agentic AI partner.
As part of the rollout, Acorn Group is using Simplifai AI Agents across several claims functions, including fraud detection, large loss identification and property damage assessment. The AI analyses incoming communications against dynamic watchlists, flags potentially fraudulent activity before payments are made, and automatically identifies motor claims requiring specialist handling. It also streamlines the review of engineer reports and invoices through summarisation and actionable recommendations aligned with internal rate structures.
A further element of the partnership is platform flexibility. Simplifai’s architecture allows Acorn Group to maintain automation continuity as it transitions to a modern core platform. The Flow Builder technology enables rapid changes to AI Agents without operational disruption, supporting scalability alongside system modernisation. Deployment has been rapid, with 186 claim handlers trained on new solutions in just two days, delivering immediate productivity gains.
