Patra, an operating partner working exclusively with the insurance industry and known for running one of the sector’s largest production-grade agentic AI platforms, has introduced a new managed services offering built around complete workflow ownership rather than piecemeal outsourced tasks.
Under the new commercial model, a single trigger sets an entire process in motion, with related tasks carried out in sequence, automated quality checks built into the platform, and a finished result handed back after review at key stages by Patra’s insurance specialists, meaning clients only need to step in for critical approvals or escalations.
Patra has also become one of the first insurance distribution partners to carry errors and omissions coverage extending to its AI-delivered services, intended to give clients added confidence in agentic-led delivery.
The company noted that most back-office support today still runs the way it always has, whether handled internally or outsourced task by task, with internal teams left to coordinate the pieces. Patra’s model aims to remove that coordination burden by having a single partner own the workflow end to end, with AI providing the speed and accuracy behind it.
Post-bind processing marks the first workflow to launch under the managed services model, spanning document retrieval, indexing, policy checking, updates to agency management system data, policy delivery and renewal certificate of insurance processing. Work that traditionally took many hours spread across several weeks, even with outsourcing support, can now reportedly be completed within days, needing only a few minutes of human review. Patra said further workflows are planned for the future.
Patra supports some of the insurance industry’s largest brokers, agencies, MGAs and wholesalers, processing tens of millions of transactions each year. The managed services model draws on the firm’s operational scale, AI capabilities and two decades of specialist experience across property and casualty and employee benefits lines, combining an agentic platform, process intelligence and expert teams to work with agencies, brokers, MGAs, MGUs and carriers on transforming how insurance operations are delivered.
Pratap Sarker, CEO at Patra, said, “Our years of investment in agentic AI combined with in-depth workflow knowledge developed over decades of managing tens of thousands of processes have built the platform that makes this kind of workflow automation possible.
“We know that agencies are under pressure to do more with less, and they don’t need another tool for their teams to learn. Our managed services leapfrog the traditional outsourcing model by giving agencies a partner that owns the entire workflow with AI powering its velocity and precision. This unlocks savings and capacity for our clients at a scale that wasn’t achievable before.”
