Verisk’s Whitespace platform introduces workflow automation functionality with Digital Follow

May 3, 2024
Whitespace, an e-trading platform fully digitised and under the umbrella of Verisk, is excited to introduce Digital Follow as its inaugural workflow automation solution.

Whitespace, an e-trading platform fully digitised and under the umbrella of Verisk, is excited to introduce Digital Follow as its inaugural workflow automation solution.

Crafted with a focus on addressing the requirements of underwriters, Digital Follow will undergo trials with a handpicked group of clients in the Whitespace sandbox environment before its broader release in the latter half of this year.

It is hoped that this to address the needs of underwriters and brokers by offering workflow automation solutions tailored to their requirements.

Digital Follow, the latest offering from Whitespace, enables underwriters and brokers to automate follow lines at the quote or firm order stage.

This automation streamlines the underwriting workflow, reduces manual review processes, and enhances overall efficiency. Additionally, Digital Follow empowers customers to operate and manage automations independently, further enhancing the functionality of the Whitespace platform.

Whitespace’s Digital Follow is the first in a series of workflow automation solutions set to be introduced, including Auto Decline and Appetite Matching.

These solutions aim to automate standard business use cases within the Whitespace platform, enhancing its capabilities and providing end-to-end digital insurance processes. The platform’s integration with other systems, facilitated by APIs, underscores its role in driving the digitisation of the insurance market.

Lee Timms, head of scaling and integration at Verisk’s Whitespace, said, “I am delighted to introduce the rollout of our workflow automation solutions with Digital Follow. It’s another testament to the potential of Whitespace APIs and how they make it possible to not only keep up with market demands but also anticipate and address customers’ needs with tailor-made solutions.”

Reid Stanway, chief digital officer at Verisk Specialty Business Solutions, added, “I’m enormously pleased we can introduce Digital Follow to our customers. Being able to provide a solution that further streamlines the way people intuitively use our Whitespace platform is what Verisk is in the market to do. I’m confident that Digital Follow will quickly prove a huge asset to brokers and underwriters, and that they will see it as a meaningful step forward in the realm of digital placement innovation.”
