Everest, a global leader in insurance and reinsurance, has announced the appointments of two key leaders in its international insurance operations, as it looks to expand its European footprint.
François-Xavier d’Huart joins as head of France and Europe strategic projects, while Anne Charon has been named head of client engagement, Europe for Everest Insurance International.
Everest, renowned for its comprehensive insurance and reinsurance services, is currently enhancing its value proposition across France and Continental Europe to meet growing market demands, and these appointments underscore that target.
D’Huart will join Everest from Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, where he was most recently head of France and Belgium, effective July 1 pending regulatory approval.
The industry veteran brings over 20 years of experience in driving business success and developing talent across cultural boundaries. His previous roles include head of broker and client management at XL Catlin in France and head of marine Asia at AXA in Singapore.
In his new role, d’Huart will take over leadership responsibilities for Everest’s French operations from Anne Charon.
Charon, who joined Everest in 2022, has been promoted to the newly created role of head of client engagement, Europe.
She has been pivotal in Everest’s expansion into the French market, building a best-in-class team and fostering a strong culture. With over 30 years of market leadership, Charon will now oversee the development and execution of Everest’s client and growth strategies across Continental Europe.
