North Dakota renters get Lemonade insurance access

Lemonade

Lemonade, a tech-first insurance company with more than three million active customers, has launched its renters insurance product in North Dakota, extending its presence across the United States.

The product is available through Lemonade’s app, where customers can obtain quotes, purchase and amend policies, and submit claims in a single platform. The company says around 40% of claims are resolved instantly, accelerating payouts following a covered loss.

Pricing begins at $5 per month, which Lemonade says is approximately 30% below the national average based on company and industry data. Policyholders may also qualify for further reductions by bundling policies, installing eligible home safety devices, or opting for annual billing rather than monthly payments.

Lemonade’s renters product offers adjustable coverage levels, positioning it as a flexible option for customers seeking to tailor protection to their individual circumstances.

The company has received recognition from Forbes, CNBC, and U.S. News & World Report for its products and customer experience.

Lemonade head of renters insurance Dan Timsit said, “North Dakota represents another important step in Lemonade’s continued expansion across the United States. Our goal is to make insurance easier to understand, easier to access, and easier to manage. We’re excited to offer North Dakota renters a modern alternative to traditional insurance.”
