ANNA Money adds business insurance via Admiral deal

ANNA Money, the business account platform for freelancers and small businesses, has partnered with Admiral Business to embed insurance directly within its app.

The tie-up allows ANNA customers to explore cover options, access information and obtain a quote from Admiral Business without leaving the ANNA app, removing the need for separate logins, portals or provider comparisons. Admiral Business’s products are designed for freelancers, contractors and small firms, spanning public liability, professional indemnity and tools insurance.

The offering will be surfaced at the points where protection matters most, namely when a customer is incorporating a company and during the early growth phase, periods when insurance is often postponed until it becomes urgent.

ANNA also highlighted that business insurance premiums are typically tax deductible.

The company’s own figures show nearly one in five of its customers already record insurance premiums as an expense, amounting to £12.5m in premiums over the last year. Because the platform automatically tracks income and outgoings, these premiums are captured without any manual effort from the user.

ANNA co CEO Boris Diakonov said, “Small business owners don’t need more admin, they need simple access to the services that help them run and grow. Admiral Business’s specialist insurance and top-rated customer service and claims support makes them a natural choice for our customers. Adding easy access to business insurance is another step towards giving entrepreneurs everything they need in one place.”

Admiral Pioneer CEO Emma Huntington said, “This partnership brings together two areas that often sit separately, business admin and insurance, helping customers take care of both in a simple, joined-up way. By working with ANNA Money, we’re supporting customers where they are, making it easier for small business owners to put the right protection in place and focus on what matters most: running their business.”
