American Growth Insurance (AGI), an insurance brokerage focused on specialty commercial and personal lines, has launched with nearly $70m in committed equity to build an AI-enabled brokerage platform designed to support independent agencies across the US.
The funding comes from Rockbridge Growth Equity and Atomic, with AGI planning to acquire independent insurance agencies and integrate them with its proprietary technology platform. The company’s model combines established brokerage operations and client relationships with AI-driven tools designed to improve productivity, profitability and growth.
Before launching publicly, AGI spent a year testing its operating model with 10 agencies and said the approach increased average agency profitability by more than 50% through improved revenue generation and operational efficiencies. Following its first acquisition, the company plans to continue expanding its brokerage network and reach more than $10m in revenue by the end of 2026.
The company is targeting a fragmented insurance distribution market where smaller brokers continue to face challenges competing with larger firms. Citing MarshBerry data, AGI said the 50 largest US brokers account for 96% of industry revenue, leaving smaller firms with limited scale and slower growth rates.
AGI CEO Brian Morgan said, “American Growth Insurance is building out the next-generation, national insurance brokerage platform. AGI will deploy custom-built native AI technology, tailored to the operations of our partner firms, which is designed to facilitate collaboration and producer development.”
Morgan added, “Unlike traditional acquirers, AGI is an operator that’s seeking true partnerships with independent agencies and brokerages. We are building a company where our partner firms sit at the table, shaping our strategy, technology and growth.”
