Aggne, a Wipro company and insurance technology services provider, has confirmed the successful go-live of Capricorn Mutual, the member-owned risk protection organisation, on Duck Creek Technologies‘ core insurance platform, marking a key step in the mutual’s technology modernisation programme.
The rollout forms part of Capricorn Mutual’s broader ambitions to reinforce its service delivery, boost operational efficiency, and lay the groundwork for continued expansion.
The project was carried out in collaboration with Duck Creek Technologies, with Aggne overseeing the transition away from Capricorn Mutual’s previous legacy infrastructure.
As part of the overhaul, Aggne worked alongside Capricorn Mutual and Duck Creek Technologies to roll out Duck Creek’s Policy, Rating, Billing, Claims, and Clarity solutions via Duck Creek OnDemand, moving the organisation onto a cloud-based, interconnected system.
Drawing on its specialist knowledge of the insurance sector and experience modernising core platforms, Aggne managed the integration of essential business functions spanning banking, financial oversight, vehicle and property data, and bespoke technologies, making use of Duck Creek’s open API framework throughout.
The result is a joined-up operational structure that gives Capricorn Mutual greater automation, tighter governance, improved data accuracy, higher efficiency, and the flexibility required to adapt to shifting business demands.
Aggne noted that the successful go-live reflects a wider trend among insurers and mutuals looking to update their core systems in order to enhance service delivery, streamline operations, and get ready for future capabilities built around data and artificial intelligence.
Capricorn Mutual Limited is Capricorn’s member-owned risk protection body, set up to give Capricorn Members an alternative to conventional insurance.
