Kettle, an InsurTech firm specialising in insurance and reinsurance for wildfire-prone areas, has announced the appointment of Jeff Chen as its chief risk officer (CRO).
Chen, an insurance veteran with nearly 20 years of experience in risk analytics, insurance, and reinsurance, joins Kettle to lead its risk management efforts, according to the Coverager.
In his new position, Chen will focus on enhancing Kettle’s risk management and underwriting strategies. His extensive background in actuarial science and data-driven decision-making will be instrumental as Kettle continues to expand its operations and refine its approach to providing wildfire insurance.
He previously held leadership roles at Root Insurance and AIG, demonstrating his ability to navigate complex insurance landscapes.
He is recognised as an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA), further cementing his credentials as an industry leader.
