Verisk, a provider of insurance and reinsurance software to global (re)insurance markets, has partnered with Emirates Insurance, a UAE-based insurer focused on property, construction, and energy, to deploy its exposure management platform Sequel Impact.
The partnership aims to streamline exposure management processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and improving system integration.
Emirates joins a growing pool of carriers and brokers across the MENA region, leveraging Verisk’s suite of solutions, which also includes Rulebook for rating and pricing, and Whitespace for digital trading.
Verisk Specialty Business Solutions delivers software solutions designed for insurers, reinsurers, brokers, MGAs, coverholders and start-ups.
Its product portfolio spans underwriting, policy administration, claims, pricing, exposure management, and analytics. Its flagship products include Whitespace, a digital placing platform, and Rulebook, a solution for pricing, rating, and distribution.
Emirates Insurance, one of the UAE’s longest-established insurers, provides coverage across property, construction, and energy.
The adoption of Sequel Impact represents a move to strengthen its capabilities in managing exposure data with precision, while positioning itself for growth in an increasingly complex and competitive insurance market.
Sequel Impact is designed as a multi-class, deterministic aggregation system that captures all policy details, including complex limits and schedules of values, to deliver granular exposure reporting.
It enables insurers to generate detailed exposure reports quickly and accurately, allowing for data-driven decision-making in both pre-event and post-event contexts.
May Hleileh, chief underwriting officer international at Emirates Insurance, said, “The deployment of Verisk Sequel Impact marks a significant milestone in our ongoing journey to enhance operational efficiency and streamline integration with our core systems. The platform’s flexibility and depth of functionality met our expectations, ensuring we are well positioned to manage our exposure with greater precision, and supporting our growth in an increasingly complex and competitive market.”
Richard Reggel, chief commercial officer at Verisk Specialty Business Solutions, said, “Sequel Impact has given Emirates Insurance the ability to streamline their exposure management processes, providing them with the tools needed to track and visualise risk across multiple lines of business and geographic regions. But more than that, this partnership reflects a shared understanding of the challenges insurers face today—balancing operational efficiency with the need for agility in an increasingly complex risk landscape. By integrating seamlessly with their existing systems, we’ve helped eliminate inefficiencies and empower their teams to act on insights faster.”
