Concirrus unveils Inspire to accelerate specialty underwriting

London-based InsurTech Concirrus has formally launched Concirrus Inspire, a new AI-native underwriting platform aimed at insurers and managing general agents (MGAs).

The launch comes as specialty insurers face growing pressure to handle higher submission volumes while maintaining tight control over underwriting appetite, exposure and portfolio performance.

As organisations scale, manual processes and fragmented systems can slow decision-making and increase operational risk. Inspire has been introduced to address these challenges by enabling faster underwriting decisions without proportionate increases in headcount.

Concirrus develops underwriting technology designed specifically for the complexities of specialty insurance. Its platforms combine advanced data science, AI and automation to support underwriters across multiple lines of business. The company positions itself as an AI-first provider, helping insurers modernise decision-making while maintaining discipline, governance and security across underwriting operations.

The offering covers the full underwriting lifecycle, from submission intake through to quote, bind and post-bind activities. The platform is modular by design, combining line-specific underwriting applications with a line-agnostic policy management foundation. This approach allows underwriting teams to deploy functionality where it is most needed, while preserving enterprise-wide consistency and control.

Beyond core underwriting, Inspire embeds AI and automation across workflows to reduce manual effort and improve turnaround times. The platform delivers real-time visibility into exposure and accumulation, helping insurers grow portfolios with confidence while staying within appetite. AI also acts as a talent multiplier, allowing experienced underwriters to focus on complex risks while routine, high-volume processing is handled by the system.

Inspire is delivered as a suite of interoperable modules, enabling firms to adopt capabilities incrementally. These modules span submissions intake, triage, quoting, exposure management, data extraction, policy administration, rating, insights, portfolio oversight, adaptive workflows and sanctions screening. Through strategic partnerships, including with Diesta, the platform also extends into automated premium payment and reconciliation, supporting continuity from risk intake through to cash receipt.

The launch builds on Concirrus’ continued investment in its AI-first strategy, supported by leadership growth and momentum across the UK and US markets. The company recently achieved a global first for InsurTechs by securing ISO/IEC 42001 for AI governance, ISO/IEC 27001 for information security and SOC 2 compliance, reinforcing its focus on security, data protection and ethical AI.

Concirrus CEO Andrew Yeoman said, “The specialty insurance market is evolving quickly, and underwriting teams need technology that supports both speed and discipline. Inspire is not an incremental upgrade. It is an AI-native underwriting platform designed to remove friction, support better decisions, and give insurers the confidence to scale.”
