Targa Telematics, an AIoT and connected mobility technology provider, has launched an agentic AI-powered maintenance platform designed to automate fleet operations and improve vehicle availability.
The company’s new Maintenance Excellence solution uses Agentic AI to transform fleet maintenance from a series of disconnected tasks into a coordinated, data-driven process. The platform combines information from telematics devices, vehicle manufacturers’ systems and external platforms to create a single view of vehicle health and maintenance activity.
Maintenance Excellence monitors vehicle performance, early signs of wear and potential issues before they develop into larger operational problems. The system can also schedule maintenance activities, coordinate stakeholders and manage approvals, helping fleet operators reduce manual processes across the maintenance lifecycle.
Targa Telematics develops AIoT solutions and connected mobility platforms for rental companies, insurers, financial institutions and large fleet operators. Its technology covers areas including fleet management, insurance telematics, vehicle diagnostics, remote monitoring and smart mobility services across multiple international markets.
The launch comes as fleet maintenance ecosystems become increasingly complex, involving a growing number of stakeholders including repair providers, spare parts suppliers, logistics operators, authorisation networks and digital platforms.
The platform is designed for leasing companies, fleet managers, mobility operators and businesses managing connected vehicle fleets. By integrating data from multiple sources, Targa Telematics aims to provide organisations with greater visibility into vehicle performance, maintenance requirements and operational risks.
Targa Telematics research found integrated data management could improve downtime visibility and reduce vehicle inactivity, while its Observatory estimates AI can cut maintenance costs by up to 30% and fleet downtime by 13%.
