Foxen, a PropTech firm specialising in multifamily solutions that lower risk and support financial wellness for owners, operators and renters, has unveiled a partnership with Healthy Paws, the Chubb-owned pet insurance specialist.
Under the tie-up, qualifying residents will be able to purchase Healthy Paws accident and illness policies for dogs and cats at a 5% discount, with simplified access embedded directly within PetClear, Foxen’s pet management platform. PetClear uses AI to confirm animal details and gather policy affirmations from every rental applicant as part of the standard leasing journey.
Healthy Paws provides cover designed to help owners handle unforeseen veterinary costs, spanning emergency treatment, cancer care and newly arising accidents and illnesses. Policies also extend to hereditary and congenital conditions.
The agreement arrives at a time when pets are playing a growing role in renters’ decision-making. Research from Foxen’s Multifamily Pet Management Trends Report found that 93% of surveyed property managers permit pets in their communities, while 94% believe modern renters attach significant importance to living alongside their animals. The findings suggest tenants are actively looking for communities that genuinely accommodate pet ownership.
For operators, the arrangement offers a value-add amenity that benefits pet-owning residents without adding to the workload of on-site staff.
