Mavrix debuts AI agent Millie for brokerage teams

Mavrix Insurance Services, a centralised brokerage model born out of the Heffernan Group, has introduced Millie, a proprietary artificial intelligence platform designed to function as both an AI agent and the underlying AI infrastructure supporting agents, policyholders and service teams.

Millie has been built around two core functions tailored to Mavrix’s centralised brokerage structure.

For agents and service teams, the platform manages workflows spanning intake, quote-to-bind processes and ongoing servicing, identifying what each stage requires and carrying out the necessary actions. This is intended to reduce the time agents spend on administrative handovers, freeing them up to spend more time with clients and grow their books of business.

For policyholders, Millie offers a quick, guided route to begin a personal or commercial insurance quote, alongside a self-service portal for managing policies once in place.

Many existing AI tools within the insurance sector are designed to handle single, isolated tasks, such as producing a recommendation or answering a query, rather than working across connected processes. Millie has instead been designed to carry out work across multiple linked workflows simultaneously.

Service teams typically manage numerous small administrative duties each day, including policy amendments, renewal preparation and client follow-ups; rather than addressing these individually, Millie is designed to work across the full scope of servicing and administrative tasks at once, so that time savings accumulate rather than emerging gradually.

The platform’s remit has been deliberately limited, and does not cover underwriting or claims decisions, which continue to sit with licensed agents and carriers. Instead, Millie’s function is to coordinate the servicing, communication and administrative activity that surrounds those decisions, rather than to take over the judgement involved in making them.

Mavrix Insurance Services operates as a centralised insurance brokerage built to remove operational friction for independent agents. By taking on account servicing, carrier management and administrative infrastructure, the company allows agents to concentrate on sales and client relationships across personal insurance, commercial insurance and employee benefits.

Mavrix CEO Leticia Treviño said, “Unlike other AI-enabled insurance technologies, Millie is built as agentic AI from the outset, not retrofitted onto an existing tool set.

“We structured Millie around how agents, insureds, and service teams work together. Good service is what keeps an agent’s book of business growing, and Millie exists to make sure that service happens without pulling agents away from their clients.”

Mavrix VP of operations Toni Francis said, “Millie works with our service teams, not around them. When service teams have the support to do their job well, agents feel it first: fewer gaps, faster turnarounds, more time back for the relationships that grow their business. That’s exactly what Millie is built to protect.”
