Finys is repositioning its core technology around the demands of AI, unveiling a rebuilt version of its Finys Suite for US property and casualty (P&C) insurers at InsureTech Connect (ITC) Vegas.
Rather than adding AI capabilities to its existing architecture, the company has redesigned the platform underneath its policy, billing and claims functionality. Finys says the new foundation is intended to make data, business rules and operational workflows more accessible to AI applications.
The reworked Finys Platform focuses on improving scalability, resilience, performance and integration. The release also brings changes to the way users interact with the system, including a redesigned interface, embedded CRM capabilities, a new data model and expanded tools for configuring insurance products and processes.
The move comes as P&C insurers experiment with AI across underwriting, claims handling and customer service. For these applications to work effectively, however, models need access to reliable data and the rules governing how insurance operations work. They also need a way to feed their outputs back into the processes where decisions are made.
Finys is therefore treating the core system as an important part of the AI stack. The company has connected data, products, rates, rules and workflows within the redesigned platform, aiming to give AI applications greater context when supporting carrier operations.
The changes are also intended to simplify the day-to-day experience for insurance teams. Updated home and landing screens, streamlined navigation and redesigned workflows aim to reduce the number of steps involved in routine activities.
An embedded Finys CRM provides a consolidated view of customer relationships and interactions, while the revised data architecture is designed to make information easier to access across more complex carrier environments.
The platform also gives insurers greater control over configuration through Finys Design Studio. Its low-code tools allow carrier subject matter experts to configure products, screens, rules and forms without requiring every change to go through a development team.
AI assistants are incorporated directly into the Suite, with capabilities including natural-language queries, conversational insights and configuration support. Their functionality is designed to reflect the part of the platform a user is working within.
Finys is retaining the insurance capabilities already used by its customers while changing the technology underneath them. The approach is intended to allow carriers to modify workflows, connect additional services and introduce new capabilities without undertaking a wholesale replacement of their core system.
The company has more than 25 years of experience providing insurance technology to US P&C carriers. Its platform covers policy administration, billing and claims alongside customer portals, CRM, document management, data and intelligence capabilities.
Finys CEO Kurt Diederich said, “AI can only be as effective as the core environment supporting it. That is why we rebuilt the Finys Suite. We connected the data, products, rates, rules, and workflows AI needs to produce meaningful results across the business.”
