Camelot Network puts sustainability under the spotlight

Camelot Network, an insurance industry community founded on generosity, collaboration and shared know-how, has unveiled its Collective Intelligence Series, opening with a debate on why sustainability progress in insurance remains elusive.

The inaugural session, titled “Sustainability: If We Can All Win, What’s Stopping Us?”, will gather brokers, insurers, MGAs and senior figures from across the market to tackle one of the most pressing and intricate issues facing the sector.

With sustainability now firmly on the strategic agenda rather than sitting at the margins, the event will consider why tangible advances are still hard to deliver when the potential benefits extend to businesses, customers, communities and the planet alike.

Attendees will look at the obstacles holding back sustainability efforts in insurance, alongside the commercial openings it can generate. The discussion will also consider how insurers, brokers and MGAs can each help bring about positive change, the ways in which working together could speed up practical progress, and what an effective balance between purpose and performance might look like.

The series does not set out to provide ready-made solutions. Instead, it rests on the idea that the strongest thinking surfaces when individuals with varied backgrounds and areas of expertise exchange ideas candidly and challenge each other in a constructive way.

Every future event will centre on a major challenge facing the industry, drawing together specialists from different disciplines to swap viewpoints, develop fresh insight and build up the shared capability of the insurance market.

Camelot Network operates as a community of insurance professionals, underpinned by the view that advancement stems from connection, cooperation and mutual support. It unites driven individuals from throughout the market, giving members the chance to learn, contribute, develop and form lasting professional relationships.

Camelot Network founder David Clamp said, “As an industry, we have no shortage of expertise. What we need are more opportunities to connect that expertise across organisations, disciplines and career stages. The Collective Intelligence Series is about creating space for people to share what they are seeing, test different perspectives and learn from each other.”
