Cytora, a digital risk processing platform helping insurers streamline underwriting, has announced a new partnership with Aisix Solutions to enhance insurers’ ability to assess and manage wildfire risk.
The move responds to this growing concern as climate change drives more frequent and intense natural disasters.
By integrating Aisix’s AI-powered wildfire intelligence into Cytora’s platform, the partnership aims to boost underwriting speed, accuracy, and transparency.
Cytora provides an advanced underwriting platform that digitises risk intake and enables insurers to process information efficiently. The company has been at the forefront of adopting AI to transform commercial insurance workflows and recently launched a new version of its platform, using agentic AI to improve performance and explainability.
Aisix Solutions delivers climate intelligence, with a particular focus on wildfire data. Its Wildfire 3.0 models analyse historical fire activity and geographical data, offering real-time insights via API. These capabilities allow underwriters to evaluate risks at both the asset and portfolio levels, enabling more informed, agile decision-making.
This integration comes as the insurance sector faces increasing regulatory pressures, particularly under frameworks like the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB).
Insurers are expected to adopt more rigorous methods to assess environmental exposures and enhance climate resilience across their portfolios.
The Cytora-Aisix partnership is the latest in a series of strategic moves by Cytora, following its recent deal with global insurer Chubb. These initiatives reflect a broader industry shift towards embedding climate intelligence into underwriting and risk management processes.
“This partnership with Aisix enables insurers to seamlessly embed cutting-edge wildfire data into their workflows,” Cytora chief operating officer Juan de Castro said.
“As wildfire events grow more frequent and intense, the ability to assess risk at the asset level in real-time is essential. Our collaboration with Cytora equips insurers with the clarity and foresight needed to make sustainable, strategic decisions in an increasingly complex risk landscape,” Aisix Solutions CEO Mihalis Belantis said.
