Penn River, a cloud-native life and annuities policy administration platform, has partnered with InsurTech Solvrays, to streamline insurance workflows.
The collaboration aims to eliminate back-office friction and accelerate correspondence generation and other key administrative functions through intelligent automation, according to FF News.
The partnership will see Solvrays integrate its DocuGene correspondence accelerator—driven by its AI orchestration engine, PulseGene—into Penn River’s core administrative platform.
This integration enables seamless, end-to-end automation that unites data, workflows, and documents across the life-and-annuity value chain. The move is designed to modernise carrier operations and allow insurers to redirect resources toward innovation and growth.
The partnership delivers several benefits for carriers, including dynamic correspondence automation—covering letters, statements, and disclosures—generated in real time based on policy events and product rules.
Additional features include built-in routing, compliance checks, and approval workflows powered by PulseGene, as well as seamless integration within Penn River’s existing administrative systems.
This enables rapid adaptation to regulatory or product changes without coding delays and reduces operational risks through standardised templates and version control.
The collaboration forms part of Solvrays’ broader initiative to embed its orchestration technology across leading policy administration systems, helping carriers implement agentic AI workflows without disrupting existing infrastructures.
Together, Solvrays and Penn River aim to bridge the gap between policy administration and customer communication, driving measurable efficiency gains across the insurance value chain.
Solvrays CEO Bobbie Shrivastav said, “Many carriers today still struggle with manual, brittle correspondence systems that don’t scale and create delay and error. By combining PulseGene’s AI-driven orchestration logic with DocuGene’s document automation and embedding that capability into Penn River’s policy administration backbone, we can tackle one of the most persistent pain points in life and annuities operations. Our joint mission is to make back-office work as frictionless as possible—so insurers can reallocate resources to product innovation, customer experience, and growth.”
Penn River CEO David Shaw said, “Solvrays brings the missing orchestration and correspondence layer that enables carriers to move more quickly, accurately, and scalably. Our platform already provides insurers the agility to launch complex life and annuity products with efficiency. Embedding DocuGene and PulseGene into our workflow stack means our clients can now generate policyholder correspondence dynamically and reliably, with minimal manual intervention. In short, we’re eliminating back-office friction at scale.”
