DeepSeek, a company specialising in advanced AI models, plays a crucial role in this initiative by providing the technical backbone needed for large-scale insurance model integration.

With its expertise in AI, DeepSeek helps develop multi-modal interaction systems, including voice and text, that manage complex dialogues and assist with sales strategies.

As part of its innovation roadmap, Waterdrop has introduced its Large-scale AI Model Insurance Quality Inspection Solution.

This technology leverages contextual semantic understanding and long-text reasoning to deeply analyse conversations, user intent, and emotional tone.

The solution ensures 100% coverage across all communication channels, including voice interactions and enterprise WeChat chat records, while reducing operational costs by over 50% compared to traditional manual inspections (excluding initial development costs).

Additionally, Waterdrop is using AI and big data analytics to design personalised insurance products tailored for specific demographic segments, such as the elderly, expectant mothers, and individuals with chronic health conditions. This strategy addresses disparities in healthcare access and empowers underserved groups to obtain essential health insurance.

In 2024, Waterdrop introduced 174 tailored insurance products, which now account for more than 92% of its offerings. This shift from generic models to highly targeted product alignment highlights Waterdrop’s commitment to reshaping the insurance industry through innovative and technology-driven approaches.
