MoneySuperMarket, the UK’s most recommended price comparison service, has expanded its ChatGPT app to include home insurance, pet insurance, credit cards and personal loans, enabling users to re-run quotes and compare financial products directly within the ChatGPT interface.
The update enhances MoneySuperMarket’s AI-driven comparison experience by allowing customers to access a broader range of financial products in a single conversational journey.
It builds on the existing functionality, which already supports car and van insurance quotes, broadband comparisons, current accounts and savings products.
The firm operates as a digital price comparison platform that aggregates products from insurers and financial service providers, helping consumers compare prices and features across a wide range of financial categories. Its services span insurance, banking products, utilities and broadband, with a focus on helping users make more informed financial decisions.
MONY Group, the parent company, is a digital financial services business that owns and operates MoneySuperMarket alongside other consumer-focused comparison and money management platforms. The group invests in data and technology to simplify financial decision-making and improve customer outcomes.
The expanded ChatGPT app allows users to search and compare products by interacting directly with MoneySuperMarket within a conversation. It uses artificial intelligence to scan offerings from more than 150 insurers and financial providers, returning tailored results in real time.
Customers can now re-run quotes for home and pet insurance, explore credit card options such as balance transfer deals, and compare personal loan products. The app also supports broader financial queries, with access to MoneySuperMarket’s guidance content on household budgeting, savings and product selection.
To use the service, customers connect the MoneySuperMarket app within ChatGPT and prompt it using “@MoneySuperMarket”. The integration is opt-in, with users able to connect or disconnect at any time. Saved data is securely ringfenced within MoneySuperMarket’s systems and managed under its existing data protection policies.
