hyperexponential has now introduced the “Model Developer API Exam,” a new addition to the certification offerings. This specialist exam is designed to follow the foundational exam and aims to accredit users with expert knowledge of the hx Renew APIs. Achieving this certification places users on the ideal track to becoming a Pricing Decision Intelligence (PDI) expert, hyperexponential said.
The hx Renew APIs play a pivotal role in the flexibility and customisation of the platform. Those certified in the “Model Developer API” are proficient in automating workflows and leveraging third-party data, an essential skill for utilising Pricing Decision Intelligence effectively.
Two of hyperexponential’s experts, Josh Boddy, Solutions Engineering Lead, and Nancy Simpson, Customer Success Manager, discussed the advantages of hx Renew APIs in enhancing pricing processes.
Josh explained that hx Renew APIs allow external systems to interact with the Renew platform, simplifying data retrieval, calculations, and workflow automation. This capability is particularly beneficial for actuaries, enabling efficient data manipulation and complex analyses without manual input, thereby boosting productivity and analytical sophistication.

For underwriters, the integration provides a “single pane of glass” view, consolidating data and analytical tools in one place and reducing the need for switching between systems. This integration not only enhances risk assessment and operational efficiency but also supports faster, more informed underwriting decisions.
One notable success story involves a client integrating their hx Renew environment with Cybercube, facilitating seamless data exchange and analysis.
